My father, Bob Drum, was a golf writer and CBS Golf announcer. In 1987 I decided to get into the family business - GOLF - and formed Drum Marketing Solutions after determining the lack of full service Golf Sales & Marketing Companies doing Business Development. I have consulted or executed business development strategies for the top golf consumer and destination resort brands in the country like Yonex, Kiawah Island, Sea Island, Pinehurst/Sandhills and the booming Mississippi Gulf Coast. I have been very successful in forming golf marketing organizations and funding models to help public and private organizations work together to create strong brands and create demand with integrated marketing to accomplish new business development. I have implemented and pioneered electronic commerce systems for golf destinations to better measure results of marketing and promotions and this has helped me understand the importance of information systems to aid in marketing decision-making. My experience in stretching marketing dollars and measuring results to build a solid marketing organization for my clients has been my expertise. I offer complete integrated marketing solutions consulting from publications & web site development to advertising, marketing & public relations - all while training clients in house staff on best practices or implementation using local vendors so client can maintain effective systems to reach clients long term goals and objectives.
